This sesame broccoli stir fry is a quick side dish with delicious flavor!
Cooked until tender-crisp with ginger and garlic, broccoli pairs well with everything from grilled chicken to pork chops!
Ingredients :
1 bunch broccoli about 1 pound
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
toasted sesame seeds for garnish, optional
Sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
½ teaspoon brown sugar
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Directions :
Cut broccoli into florets. Peel the tough outer layer from the broccoli stem and cut broccoli into 1" pieces.
Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Heat the oil in a pan over medium high heat and add broccoli. Cook 2 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons water or broth to the pan and cook an additional 2 minutes or until water evaporates.
Stir in garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add sauce mixture and cook an additional 2 minutes more or until heated through. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
